Here is how you make Wild Rice Soup:

Wash wild rice and cook 1 cup of wild rice and put in 2 quart casserole dish with 3 cups of water. Microwave on high power for 5 minutes and then for 35 minutes on ½ power (I use high power for this part too). After done let sit for 15 minutes this will equal your 2 ½ cups of cooked rice. Makes 10-12 servings (1-1/2 cup serving).While this is sitting – simmer the diced onion in 3 tablespoons of butter until tender – then add ½ and ½ , cream of potato soup, rice, bacon and cheese.
