Smoky Bonfire Soup Recipe
Smoky Bonfire Soup

The smoky flavour of this soup matches the smell of the bonfire! It?s thick with vegetables and beans and you could use a can of baked beans if your children aren?t keen on kidney beans. Supply spoons for easy eating but serve the soup in mugs so that hands can be warmed while eating. It is unusual to thicken a soup with flour, but it works well here, resulting in a hearty soup in which neither the fresh or canned vegetables are over-cooked.
