Here is how you make Super Chunk Tomato Soup:

Melt butter in a big soup pot over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, garlic and shallots and saute' for 5 minutes, until veggies are tender. Add sugar, pepper, salt, and basil and cook for 5 more minutes. Add sun-dried tomatoes, diced tomatoes, broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes (or longer if you like. The longer, the more flavorful.) Remove from heat. Blend with a hand blender until most of the big chunks disappear. Makes 6 servings.
