2 large potatoes, washed and peeled
1 cup pumpkin, peeled
2 cups celery, raw
2 cups carrots, raw, washed and peeled

If using lentils or black-eyed peas, wash and place in 4 cups of water to cook on medium heat. If using harder beans, clean, wash and soak overnigh in enough water to cover.In the meantime, wash all vegetables and peel potatoes, pumpkin and carrots. Chop all vegetables into 1" chunks and place in separate bowls.When peas are half-cooked, add carrots and seasonings to taste.
