1 1/2 cups cooked broccoli (if you have leftover broccoli, use it)
8 oz package mushrooms, sliced or diced
1 large egg
2 TB cornstarch
2 TB vegetable oil

1/4 cup Kikkoman Low Sodium Soy Sauce
2 TB water
1 TB toasted sesame oil (I sometimes use the oil that rises to the top of my tahini)
3 TB Brown Sugar
1 TB Rice Vinegar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 TB sesame seeds
1/2 TB cornstarch


How Do I Make Sesame Chicken with Broccoli and Mushrooms?

Here is how you make Sesame Chicken with Broccoli and Mushrooms:

1. Prepare sauce by mixing soy sauce, water, sesame oil, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, cornstarch, and sesame seeds. Set aside.2. Trim fat from chicken thighs and cut into bite sized pieces. Set aside.3. Whisk together egg and 2 TB cornstarch in a bowl. Then toss chicken pieces in the mixture. 4. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet and when hot, add chicken pieces. Try to make it just one layer thick. 5. Cook chicken for about 6-8 minutes on one side. It should be a golden brown before you flip it. Then flip it--break it up as some of the pieces will stick together. Add uncooked mushrooms to top of chicken and cook for another 6-8 minutes. If you are using uncooked broccoli, add it at this time also.6. Add broccoli and then pour sauce over all and stir slightly--just enough to get everything coated.7. The sauce will thicken at it cooks--this part only takes about 2-3 minutes or so.8.
