How Do I Make Wise Fried Rice?Here is how you make Wise Fried Rice: PREP: Wash rice very well and remove any pieces that float. This prevents the rice from becoming sticky and swelling up too large. Chop all veggies. Place 2 cups water or broth to a large pan or Wok. Bring to a boil. TO COOK: Add Brown Rice to pan and cook for about 25-35 minutes, or until rice is fully cooked, on a medium-high heat. Shape rice into a mound and let sit for several minutes (about 5-10 on a VERY low heat). Be sure to keep and eye on it. It will burn. You can add 2-3 tbsp. of oil to keep it from burning. In a separate pan, add in 5 tbsp. Sesame oil, then add veggies. Cook enough to warm them not fry them. Lastly, add 1 cup eggs into the pan. Serve veggies on top of rice and enjoy! You can also add a lean meat like chicken or fish and also, Soy sauce to this dish. But. remember that Soy sauce will greatly increase the sodium levels, even if you use 1 tablespoon. I like to add flaxseeds and cashews, too.
