1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced, white and pale green parts separated from dark green parts
4 cloves of garlic (more or less to taste)
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided in half
6oz plain Greek Yogurt
EVOO
juice of one lemon
grated lemon peel
4 tbsp chopped parsely
4 tbsp torn fresh basil

Here is how you make Penne with peas, asparagus and bacon:

Heat oven to 350 degrees.Cook pasta in a pot of boiling water until almost al dente. Drain, reserving ~1 cup of the pasta cooking liquid.Meanwhile, cook bacon as you prefer. Crumble when completed.Separately, cook asparagus. Add EVOO to a large nonstick skillet; when heated, add asparagus and saute for ~3 minutes. Add peas, white and pale green parts of onion, and garlic. Saute together until peas are hot. Remove from heat.Put cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, vegetable mixture, dark green parts of onions, 1/2-3/4 of the Parmesan, yogurt, lemon juice, lemon peel, parsley and bail in a large bowl. Toss until well mixed, using pasta water as needed to ensure good mix. Season with salt and black pepper. Pour the whole lot into a 9x13" cooking dish, sprinkle with remaining Parmesan. Pour more pasta cooking liquid and/or lemon juice over it if necessary to prevent drying out. Cover with tin foil.
