Prepare rabbit by rinsing and drying with paper towels. Salt and pepper the outside and inside. Set aside. Coat the inside of a deep oven safe baking dish with olive oil. cover the bottom of the dish with cabbage, place rabbit on the cabbage, and fill the gaps with chopped carrots and potatoes. Lay bacon slices over the rabbit pour 1 cup of broth and wine over the rabbit, sprinkle with caraway seeds and bake in a 325F oven for 90 minutes - covered.
