6 Garlic Cloves
8 oz Conecuh Smoked Sausage
8 oz. Pickeled Pork
2 tbsp Black Pepper
2 Chicken Bouillon Cubes
3 tbsp flour
3 tbsp oil
4 cups rice(cooked)


How Do I Make Lima Beans?

Here is how you make Lima Beans:

Soak lima beans overnight.Return beans to pot.Add 6 cups water.Turn heat on high.Peel and dice garlic and onion then add to pot with beans.Add in chicken bouillion cubes.Cut Sausage in 1/2 inch pieces and add to pot along with pickeled pork.Cook on high heat at a rolling boil for 45 minutes.Lower to medium heat for 25 minutes. Towards the end of that 25 minutes, combine oil and flour in a seperat pan and make a roux. *Cook both ingredients on medium heat constantly stirring until it turns from white to a light brown/caramel color.Once roux reaches caramel color, add directly to the pot of beans.Stir to incorporate into beans. (this will thicken the beans along with providing extra flavor)Add Black Pepper.
