What Are The Ingredients For Beef and Carrots Recipe?The ingredients for Beef and Carrots are: 1 packet McCormick Homestyle, Mushroom, or Beef gravy mix (the "Just Add Water" type)1 lb 93/7 lean ground beef 4 cups carrots, chopped or coined 2 shallots or one small onion, chopped or sliced (optional) 1-2 cloves garlic, minced (optional) 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon (less if freshly ground) seasoned salt and pepper to taste water How Do I Make Beef and Carrots?Here is how you make Beef and Carrots: Brown ground beef with pepper, salt, and cinnamon. Add shallots and garlic for last 10 minutes. Drain by stirring a paper towel around the bottom of the pan. Add about 1/4 cup water and the gravy packet. Stir until meat is coated and cook over low heat for 2-4 mins. Add 1 cup of water and carrots (and other vegetables, if using). Cover and simmer over low-med heat until carrots are tender and gravy has thickened, stirring occasionally. Serve over baked or mashed potatoes (not included).I'm not sure how accurate the counts are, I had to use another gravy and approximate. This is also good with white mushrooms over pasta (add a little bit of sour cream to the sauce, about 1 Tbsp per serving) as a simple Stroganoff Helper knock-off that'll save you some MSG :)You could also add some chopped celery with the shallots, and maybe some diced tomatoes instead of water with the gravy to make it more like beef stew.
