Brown ground beef, add onions and peppers. Drain and add jar of tomato sauce and set aside. Mix ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, into a thick paste mixture. In a large baking dish, spread half a cup of the meat mixture in the bottom of the pan. Then layer 3 lasagna noodles (so they do not touch). Put a cup of sauce mixture, then layer the cheese mixture. Spread over sauce and noodles. Layer noodles, ricotta mixture and sauce, repeat for three layers. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
