1-12 oz. pack-Korean Style Sweet Potato Starch Noodle
*dried shitake mushrooms (grams), 22 gram(s)
*lean sirloin steak, approx 8 oz(raw)240 gram(s)
-Slice into 1/8 inch thin slices, smaller is better
1 Large Onion, sliced thinly
Scallions, raw, approx 4 pieces, cut into 2 inch pieces
Carrots, approximately 2 or 3, cut into strips or slices
Sesame Oil, 1 tbsp
Any type Lite Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp

MARINADE:
*Sesame Oil, 1 tbsp
*Kikkoman Lite Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp
*Truvia Sweetener (1 packet/3.5 g), 1 serving
*Garlic, 1 clove, minced


How Do I Make Korean Beef Jap Chae?

Here is how you make Korean Beef Jap Chae:

1) Reconstitute Shitake mushrooms by placing in boiling water until soft.2) Marinate the beef and mushrooms for 20-25 minutes by placing the marinade ingredients along with beef and mushrooms in a small ziplock bag.3) Bring water to a boil to cook the noodles according to directions on package...usually approx 5 minutes. Once finished, drain and rinse with cold water.4) While the beef is marinating. Cut the green parts of the scallions into 2 inch pieces, slice onion and slice carrots.5) In a large saute pan, add the remaining 1 Tbsp of sesame oil, put on high heat and once hot, cook the mushrooms/beef for 2 minutes. Turn heat down a bit as to not burn food. Next, add onion, scallions and carrots. You may also add the rest of the marinade if desired. Stir for another minute or two until the vegetables are soft and the beef is cooked through. Turn down to low heat.6) Add fully drained noodles to the pan. Mix with the beef/vegetables while adding 1 Tbsp of soy sauce.*May add 1tsp sesame seeds for garnish. The key to this recipe is the sesame oil.
