Here is how you make Beef Daube Provencal:

Preheat oven to 300Heat a small Dutch oven over low heat. Add oil to pan and swirl to coat. Add garlic; cook 5 minutes. Remove garlic and set aside. Increase heat to medium-high. Add beef; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes, browning all sides of hte beef. Remove beef from pan. Add wine; bring to a boil, scraping pan to loosen brown bits.
