How Do I Make Beef Tatsuda?Here is how you make Beef Tatsuda: Heat frying oil in a pan (use canola or peanut oil), less than 2 inches in depth. Heat oil to 370 degrees. Use a candy thermometer to measure heating temp. Oil must be maintained to 370 degrees to ensure appropriate frying or your foods will be soggy with oil.Cut already thinly sliced beef sirloin into 4 inch by 1 inch strips. In a dredging bowl, mix 1 cup of flour and a dash of salt and pepper. In another dredging bowl add soy sauce. Place some of the beef strips in the soy sauce to marinate while the oil heats up. Once the oil is ready, one at a time, take a piece of beef through the soy sauce first, then dredge it in the flour, salt, pepper mixture. Tap off excess flour then place beef slice in oil. Fry until brown, then flip sides. The beef cooks quickly since it is thinly sliced and the oil is hot.
