1 can low sodium beef broth (14 oz. can)
1 can Hunts diced tomatoes with basil, oregano and garlic
3-4 fresh carrots, cut up
2 medium onions, cut/sliced
3-4 potatoes, medium sized
1/2 cup diced green peppers
3 tbsp of instant fat-free tapioca pudding mix (don't prepare)
How Do I Make 5 HOUR BEEF STEW?
Here is how you make 5 HOUR BEEF STEW:Put all ingredients in a nice sized roaster pan. Just dump it all in, mix well, add salt and pepper as desired, Put in pan with lid on tightly. Put in oven at 300 degrees for 5 hours. Do not peek, you'll let out the steam which is helping it cook. Don't take off lid until 5 hour mark. The fat-free instant tapioca pudding thickens the broth, the tomatoes make the meat just fall apart and it's absolutely delish!!! Comes out to about 400+ calories per serving. This will make about 8-10 servings! Enough to feed the whole family and fill them up. The nutritional value shows the sodium content high b/c I couldn't find a beef broth, low sodium in the list on the site.
