2 tbsp cornstarch

Here is how you make Beef Stew, Czesia's:

In large pan, brown cubed beef. Add onion and garlic when beef is browned. Saute together. Transfer to large stainless steel pot. Add hot water, worshesterhire sauce, bay leaves, lemon juice, salt, peper, allspice and sugar. Stir. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours on low heat. Check occasionally. Add carrots and potatotes. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and cook for 25 minutes. Thicken with 2 tbsp corn starch mixed with 1/4 c water. Stir, bring to boil cook until stew thickens.Convert to crock pot recipie. Prepare carrots and potatoes. Place on bottom of crock pot. Brown meat, saute onions and garlic with meat. Add to crock pot along with spices and hot water.
