Brown Beef Cubes in a thin layer at high heat in a non-stick frying pan.Add browned beef cubes to a soup pot.De-galze the pan with a bit of the Maudite and add to the pot.Add the beer, beef Broth and Water.Simmer on medium heat for a few minutes while you prep and cut your veggies.Add veggies to the pot.Add Thyme, Bay Leaves, Pepper, salt and ketchup.bring to a slow boil and reduce heat to simmer for 2 hours.With 10 minutes left combine the Flour and butter in a pan to make a Rue and add it to the stew.Serve over Rice or Mashed Potatoes and Enjoy!Serving Size: To keep it simple this recipe is 1 Serving- Just multiply by the number of people you are making it for.Number of Servings: 1Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user CHRISURFMTL.
