1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 tsp Soy Sauce
0.15 fl. oz Sherry, dry
1 tbsp Vinegar - Natural Rice Vinegar (Nakano)
15 grams Cornstarch
3 tbsp Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
0.5 cup, chopped Carrots, raw
8 oz Flank Steak
1 cup pieces Shiitake Mushrooms
1 cup Asparagus, fresh


How Do I Make Asparagus, Mushrooms, Beef Stir-Fry?

Here is how you make Asparagus, Mushrooms, Beef Stir-Fry:

Trim fat from steak and slice into 1/4 inch thick pieces. Wash and cut asparagus on the bias, cut mushrooms in quarters. Chop the whites of scallions and place in a small bowl, slice greens of scallions on the bias 1/4 inch thick for garnish. Chop ginger and garlic and add to scallion whites. Mix hoisin, oyster sauce, soy, sherry and vinegar in a bowl. In a bowl season beef with salt and pepper and add cornstarch tossing to separate each piece. Heat non-stick wok or pan on med- high add half of the oil. When hot add beef in a single layer and let brown, don't move the pan or stir, cook 3-4 mins toss or flip beef, cook another 2-3 mins. Place beef on a paper towel lined plate set aside. Add remaining oil to pan add mushrooms and asparagus cook 3-4 minutes add garlic, ginger and scallion whites stir in and cook another 1-2 minutes. Add hoisin, oyster sauce, soy, sherry and vinegar, add beef back to the pan and toss or stir to coat all ingredients. Serve with steamed rice, over polenta or mix in rice noodles.
