This is a childhood dish I grew up on - my German mother learned it from my Polish Grandmother. I've updated it with a bit more spice (cilantro) and peppers. What Are The Ingredients For Guampke's (Cabbage Rolls) Recipe?The ingredients for Guampke's (Cabbage Rolls) are: 1 small head green cabbage16oz lean ground beef (7% fat) 1 cup cooked brown rice 1 cup onion 1 cup celery 1 cup bell peppers (red, orange, yellow) 4 Tbsp Fresh Cilantro 1/2 tsp Salt ( or to taste) 1 tsp Pepper ( or to taste) How Do I Make Guampke's (Cabbage Rolls)?Here is how you make Guampke's (Cabbage Rolls): Core cabbage and steam in a large pot with about 1-2" of water until tender enough to peel whole leaves from cabbage.Meanwhile, saute onion, celery, and peppers in water until slightly soft.After cabbage has cooled slightly, peel off 10 larger leaves.Mix hamburger, cooked veggies, rice, and cilantro together. Place a small "loaf" inside a leaf of cabbage and roll tightly. Repeat till all mixture utilized.Place cabbage rolls tightly together on the bottom of the pan you steamed cabbage in. Wedge any remaining cabbage not utilized for rolls and place over top of cabbage rolls. Add enough water to cover.
