When they told me I would have never tried it had I known, and I would have missed out on a favorite dish of mine and my grandmas.It may sound like it's unhealthy and scary, but it really is a safe and healthy. What Are The Ingredients For Carne Apache Recipe?The ingredients for Carne Apache are: 1.5 lbs raw hamburger1.5 onions chopped 3 tomatoes chopped 1 bunch of cilantro chopped 4 jalapeno peppers chopped finely 4-6 Limes cut and half save juice (throw out the rest) 1 cup Reduced calorie Ketchup 3 avocados How Do I Make Carne Apache?Here is how you make Carne Apache: Makes about 20 tostadasMix the hamburger and the juice of the 4-6 limes in a plastic container with lid then add, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, cilantro and mix all the ingredients well. You may have to add more veggies -- you want it to look balanced in colors. Add salt to taste. You can add more peppers if you prefer or for a really spicy dish try Chili Manzano. (For any chili peppers slice open and de-vein and de-seed first)Once you have the mixture looking equally balanced in colors add the ketchup to help give it some nice red color usually around a 1/2 - 1 cup.Cover the container and let "cook" for about 4 hours mixing occasionally.
