2 cups Sargento reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese
10oz 80/20 ground beef
1 box (12 oz) Ronzoni Smart Taste elbow noddles
1 Tbsp butter
1 large can crushed tomatoes
1 8oz can tomato sauce
large green pepper, chopped
medium onion, chopped
1 Tbsp oregano
salt and pepper to taste


How Do I Make Italian Casserole?

Here is how you make Italian Casserole:

Boil elbow noddles 1 minute short of package directions. Sautee chopped green pepper and chopped onion in the butter until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, 1 Tbsp oregano, and salt and pepper to taste and cook covered on low for about 10 minutes. In another pan cook and then drain the ground beef. Add the beef to the sauce mixture and cook an additional 2-3 minutes. Mix sauce mixture, cooked elbows and 1/2 the cheddar cheese in a 9X12 casserole dish. Top with other 1/2 of the cheddar cheese. Bake at 375 for about 30 minutes or until top is bubbly and beginning to brown.
