1/4 c flour
1/2 t salt

1 1/2 c milk

3/4 lbs ham, cubed

Here is how you make Ham and Sweet Potato Casserole:

Bake sweet potatoes (I use the microwave). Cool, peel, slice in 1/4 inch rounds. Over medium heat , melt butter. Add onion and cook until clear. Remove from heat, add flour and all spices. Heat until bubbly. Add milk all at once. Stirring constantly, boil for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in ham and half if cheese. In prepared 2-qt baking dish, spread half of cheese mixture on bottom. Layer 1/2 of sweet potatoes. Repeat layers. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 25 mins.
