Here is how you make Jane's Runza Casserole:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown ground beef with onion. Drain. Add drained and rinsed sauerkraut, mushroom soup, mushrooms, cheese, and spices. Spray a 9x13 inch casserole dish with pan spray. Cover bottom of casserole with 8 crescent rolls. Cover with meat mixture. Separate second can of crescent rolls and place over meat mixture.
