What Are The Ingredients For Bacon Mac n' Cheese Recipe?

The ingredients for Bacon Mac n' Cheese are:

1 lb Elbow Noodles
5 cups shredded cheese (I prefer medium to sharp cheddar)
4 cups lowfat milk (you need at least 1% fat)
1 yellow onion
6 slices bacon
3-4 tablespoons flour
4 cloves Garlic
1 sprig fresh rosemary
1-2 pieces fresh thyme
Salt & Pepper to taste


How Do I Make Bacon Mac n' Cheese?

Here is how you make Bacon Mac n' Cheese:

In a large pot bring enough water to cover the macaroni noodles to boil. Once water is boiling add noodles. Feel free to salt the water if you like, I do not. Let the Macaroni cook until it is done to your desired tenderness.Take the 4 cups of milk and put in a medium saucepan with one of the garlic cloves minced in it. Add salt, pepper and some other seasoning/herbs you may like. I add a sprig of thyme and rosemary. Set this pan on a burner on the lowest setting. The milk will warm and the herbs and spices will flavor it.Meanwhile, in a frying pan cook up the bacon. Once the bacon is all cooked lay it on paper towels to drain.You will use a few tablespoons of the bacon grease as your rue base. So, transfer a few tablespoons of the grease into a deep cooking pot. Warm the pot on a medium high heat.While this is warming drain out all but a teaspoon of the remaining bacon grease from the frying pan. Saute the dice onions and garlic in the grease until onion is translucent. Crumble the bacon into the onion. Stir, remove from heat and set aside.The large cooking pot should be warm by now. Add in the flour and stir with a whiskey to remove any lumps. Take the herb sticks out of the milk and pour it into the cooking pot. @Whisk vigorously to remove any lumps. Once the rue in the pot thickens add in 4 cups of cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted. Remove from the stove and add the macaroni. Coat it throughly with the cheese.Place in mixture in a 13x9 glass baking dish and top with the remaining cheese and the onion bacon mixture.
