1 can (15 oz) Goya Black Beans,
1 can (15 oz) Wegmans Light Red Kidney Beans
3 cans (15 oz) Tomato sauce
2 cans (15 oz) Diced tomatoes
2 Cups water
1/2 of a small yellow onion, minced
1 Tbsp Salt
1 Tbsp fresh-ground black pepper
1.5 tsp Cumin (more or less to taste)
2 Tbsp garlic powder (more or less to taste)
1/4 tsp Ground Cayenne (more or less to taste)

Here is how you make Alex's Meat and Bean Chili:

- Put the beans in a large bowl with 6 cups water. Put in the fridge and allow to soak at least 12 hours or overnight. It may take longer (mine were still pretty crunchy after about 24 hours)- Brown the meat. Chop the onions while the meat is cooking.- Drain the grease off the meat and place in a large soup pot (or you can use the crock pot)- Add the tomato sauce, then all the other ingredients. Stir.CROCK POT:- Cook on High for about 2-3 hours, then turn to Warm for 4-5 hours.STOVETOP:- Bring to a boil. Then simmer for 1 hour.- If you need to thicken it, use 2 Tbsp flour in 1/2 Cup water.
