What Are The Ingredients For Chasen's Chili Recipe?The ingredients for Chasen's Chili are: 1/2 pound dry pinto beans2 cans (20 oz ea) Italian Plum Tomatoes undrained 2 tsp olive oil 1 onion chopped 1 green bell pepper chopped 1/3 cup chopped parsley 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 pound lean ground pork 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef 2 Tbs chili powder 2 tbs salt 1 tsp pepper 1 1/2 tsp round cumin How Do I Make Chasen's Chili?Here is how you make Chasen's Chili: Wash the pinto beans and soak them overnight or at least 8 hours. Drain the water and simmer the beans in fresh water until they are tender. Add the tomatoes to the beans and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.In another pan, heat the oil and saute' the onions and green peppers until tender, stirring frequently. Add the parsley and garlic.Saute' the ground meats until well browned. Skim off any fat in the pan. Combine the meat with the cooked beans and the onion mixture. Add the spices, cover, and simmer for 1 hour.Uncover the pot and simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
