Here is how you make My Mama's Chili:

Brown the ground beef, drain off the fat. Add in the can of beans and the can of tomatoes, I used the large cans of each hence the portions. The 28 oz cans, and low salt tomatoes. Add in the spices, and one can of water, using the tomato can gets you all the flavor of the tomato. Simmer for as long as you want, but a minimum of 20 min. The longer it cooks the better it tastes. In the last 10 min of cooking, mix the masa in 1/2 c of hot water then add to thicken the chili.Serving Size: Makes about 25-30 servings depending on how much your family eats.
