1 16 oz. can Bush's Chili Beans (medium)
1 15 oz. can Hunt's diced tomatoes
1 can water (about 2 cups)
1/2 large onion, chopped finely
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped finely

seasoning:
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp salt or to taste
optional: 1/2 of one Ghirardelli 86% dark chocolate square (from a 3.17 oz bar)

Here is how you make Chili:

Brown ground sirloin, onion, and bell pepper in a large nonstick skillet. Drain on paper towels to absorb excess grease.While beef mixture is browning, pour can of tomatoes, chili beans and water into a large pot. Simmer on med-low and add seasonings. Add drained beef mixture to tomato mixture. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low/simmer and cover with lid.
