Add chili powder and ground cumin. I use a mix of Ancho, Aleppo, and regular store bought McCormicks Chili powder. Frying the spice brings out its fragrant oils.Add thinly sliced meat and turn heat up to stir fry until the meat starts to brown. Put this mixture into a pot with 2 cups of beef broth. Add beans (soaked overnight) and bring to a simmer.In the meantime, add chopped tomatos to the hot pan (still on the heat) for a few minutes. Deglaze with the beer (make sure you get all the browned bits off the bottom of your pan). Add tomatos/beer mixture to pot with beef.Simmer until the beef shreds easily and the beans are soft. Add salt/pepper to taste.
