8 oz steak
2 Tbsp Olive oil separated
1 Tbsp ground black pepper
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garlic powder


How Do I Make Easy Pepper Steak?

Here is how you make Easy Pepper Steak:

Take the steak out and let it come to room temperature. While you wait for that use a small saucepan and put in 1Tbsp Olive Oil, and all the spices. Cook them over med heat for 4 minutes. This takes some of the bite out of the pepper and you get a great rub for your steak. Remove saucepan from heat and let cool. Heat up frying pan with remaining 1 Tbsp Olive Oil. Press steak into spice/oil mixture, pressing hard to coat. Make sure it gets on the sides too. Put steak into HOT frying pan. Let it cook at least 4 minutes on each side to get a nice peppery crust. If you like well done, you can finish it in the oven so it doesn't get burnt. Just heat to 400 while you and searing the meat, and then cook it like a mini roast.
