What Are The Ingredients For Amy's German Goulash Recipe?The ingredients for Amy's German Goulash are: 1 Tbs crushed, minced garlic2 Tbs Olive Oil 1 Chopped large onion 4 cups chopped Carrots (I normally use about a cup, but Hubby chopped the veggies this time) 2 cups chopped bell pepper 2 lb Beef round other stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch cubes 4 Tbs Hungarian sweet Paprika (use more hot if you like spicy) 1 Tbs Hungarian Hot Paprika 1/2 cup tomato paste 3 cups water salt and pepper to taste Couple of Bay leafs Garnish with sour cream (optional and not included in the calories) How Do I Make Amy's German Goulash?Here is how you make Amy's German Goulash: Saute the onions, garlic peppers and olive oil on medium high heat until onion are translucent, add the meat and brown on all sides. Next coat the the meat in the paprika, stir in so the meat is coated on all sides. Add the can of tomato and water. Cover, and cook on medium until it starts bubbling, then turn the heat down to low. Simmer until the meat is soft (almost 2 hours). Add the carrots the last 15 mins to keep the nutrients and flavor.Serve with pasta or Spaeztle and a dollop of sour cream on top.
