What Are The Ingredients For Burger Loaf Recipe?

The ingredients for Burger Loaf are:

2 Ibs ground beef (I had grass fed, which is lean)
1 c oats
1/4 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped cabbage
3 cloves garlic, chopped
2 Tbs ground flax seed + 6 Tbs hot water
3/4 c cooked lentils
1/2 c bbq sauce, divided (I used Cattleman's Gold)
Salt and pepper as needed


How Do I Make Burger Loaf?

Here is how you make Burger Loaf:

Preheat oven to 375.If you haven't already cooked the lentils, start them first. They only take about 15 minutes to cook. I used 1/4 cup dry plus 1 cup of water and I got 3/4 cup of cooked lentils (plus 1/4 cup cooking liquid).Mix ground flax seed with hot water. Stir together and let sit while the lentils are cooking. Or, if you already have cooked lentils on hand, let it sit for a few minutes until gelatinous.Puree lentils until desired consistency. I usually put the lentils, onion, cabbage, and garlic in the food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Setting 1/4 cup of bbq sauce aside for the top, mix everything else together in a bowl. Spread in 8x10 baking dish. Spread remaining bbq sauce over the top. Bake at 375 for about 1 hour.
