4 slices Whole Wheat bread
2 eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Basil
2 Tbsp Parsley, dried

Here is how you make Mary's meatballs:

1. Wet the slices of bread with water and squeeze excess water out like you would a sponge.2. Break the bread up over the ground beef that has been placed in a bowl. Mix.3. Next add salt, basil, parsley and eggs to the meat/bread mixture and mix well (I wash my hands well and mix it all with my hands - some people wear clean rubber gloves. It can, of course, be mixed with a wooden spoon too)4. Spray a skillet with cooking spray, then add oil and heat it a little.5. Form 20 meatballs and place them in the skillet close, but, not touching. (They will not all fit at once) Turn frequently until browned on all sides.6. Place browned meatballs in a pan of homemade or store bought (4-6 cups) marinara sauce to finish cooking - about a half hour more (the sauce is not included in the nutritional info for this recipe).7. If you don't want to finish them in the sauce, then continue cooking until the meatballs are no longer pink in the middle.
