1 pound lean ground beef
1/3 cup crushed gingersnaps (about 6 cookies)
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 ounces uncooked egg noodles. ( I used No Yolks egg noodles)
1 cup beef broth
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 table spoon sugar. (used splenda)
1/4 cup crushed gingersnap (about 4 cookies)
2 tablespoons raisins

Here is how you make Sauerbrateb Meatballs and noodles:

heat oven to 400 mix ground beef, 1/3 cup gingersnap, onion,water,salt and pepper. Shape mixture into 24 meatballs ( I got 21 1.0oz balls) Spray rack in broiler pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place meatballs on rack. Bake uncovered 20-25 minutes until done and light brown.Cook noodles as directed. ( the calories for this recipe does NOT include the noodles)Mix remaining ingredients except for the raisins in a 1 1/2 quart sauce pan. Cook over med heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
