4 c whole wheat penne pasta
2 c sliced or diced zucchini
2 c sliced or diced onion
2 c green bell pepper
2 c okra
1 pkg Hillshire Farm Smoked Sausage
8 roma tomatoes
4 tbsp Olive oil
2 tbsp basil
.5 tsp hot pepper
6 tsp Parmesan cheese
Mrs Dash to taste, I use Tomato Basil Mrs. Dash


How Do I Make Whole Wheat Pasta Primavera?

Here is how you make Whole Wheat Pasta Primavera:

Chop all veggies (except tomatoes) and put to side. Add Olive Oil to skillet and brown sausage. Remove sausage and add seasoning Mrs Dash add veggies (except tomatoes) and cook until done. Add sausage. Chop the tomatoes and add (you want to wait until the end so the tomatoes don't cook completely down). While this is cooking boil the penne until tender. Drain the pasta and add the veggies, basil, red pepper and parmesan cheese. Mix together until the cheese is melted.Makes 8-10 servings. I calculated the nutritional information off of 8 servings.This meal freezes well.You can substitute and veggies or add chicken in place of the sausage.
