The ingredients for Penne Italiano are:

1 box Heartland Plus ALA Omega-3 Penne Pasta
3/4 pound extra lean ground beef
1 jar Ragu Robusto Parmesan & Romano Spaghetti sauce
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can Italian-style diced tomatoes
1 small zucchini
1 cup fresh spinach
3/4 can medium whole black olives
3 cloves garlic or 1.5 tsp minced garlic
1/4 cup Kraft 2% finely shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup Kraft 2% shredded mozzarella


How Do I Make Penne Italiano?

Here is how you make Penne Italiano:

1. Cook and crumble ground beef until no longer pink. Rinse and drain well.2. While meat is cooking, boil noodles until done to your liking.3. Wash zucchini, cut ends off, and then quarter and slice thinly. Steam in the microwave until tender to your liking.4. Rinse spinach thoroughly and then steam in the microwave until wilted (I use a Pampered Chef Micro-Cooker). Squeeze out any extra water, then separate with a fork.4. Slice olives with an egg slicer.5. In a large dutch oven combine all ingredients except cheeses. Mix well.6. Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top of casserole. 7. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until hot and bubbly in the center.NOTE: You can add a layer of cottage cheese on top of the casserole BEFORE sprinkling on the mozzarella and cheddar.
