Dice potatoes, boil in salted water; when soft, drain, mash with 1/3 c. butter, 1/2 c. milk, salt, and pepper to taste.2. Coat stew meat with flour. Heat 1 tbsp. olive oil in large dutch oven; add venison, cook until browned.3. Add onion and celery, cook for about 5 minutes, stirring often.4. Add vegetable stock, scrape bits off bottom of pan. Let simmer for at least an hour, or until meat is tender.5. Meanwhile, sautee mushrooms in butter in separate pan; set aside.6. After venison has stewed and become soft, preheat oven to 400 degrees. Add mixed vegetables and mushrooms to venison mix. Pour this mix into the bottom of a pie pan; top with mashed potatoes. 7. Bake pie (or pies) for about 30 minutes.
