Brown hamburger in a large pot until all pink is gone. RemoVe from heat, place in a colander and thoroughly rinse with hot Water.Wipe pan to remove any cooked fat remaining.Place all other ingredients in pot, then add rinsed hamburger.Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer until rice is done (about 20 minutes). Thoroughly stir mixture at about 5 minute intervals.When rice is done, remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes.Most people will need additional salt and/or pepper or more Picante Sauce.
