Green Peppers (bell peppers), 1 cup, chopped
Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
Oregano, ground, 1 tps
Bay Leaf, 1 tsp, crumbled

Here is how you make Penne pasta with vegetable and meat sauce:

Saute 3 tablespoons of onion. Once onions are tender add in the ground beef and season with salt and pepper and add bay leaf. Cook over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add wine and cook until browned. Add the chopped peppers cook 2 minutes and add the chopped mushrooms and cook 3 minutes more. Turn heat down and simmer for 5 minutes. Boil water in pot. Enough to add 1 pkg. of the Barilla penne pasta. Bring water to a boil and season with salt. Add pasta and cook to your preference. Drain pasta and put back in pot. Add the meat/vegetable sauce to the pasta and combine until the sauce has coated the pasta.
