1/2 tsp root beer extract (optional)

Here is how you make Pulled Pork with Dr. Pepper Sauce:

1 Trim any excess fat and cut meat into chunks to fit your crock pot. Preheat your largest skillet with the vegetable oil. Sprinkle meat with salt and pepper. Sear pork on all sides until browned. Transfer meat to crock pot with onions, garlic, and 1 can of Dr. Pepper.2 Cover and cook on low-heat 8 to 10 hours or high-heat 4 to 5 hours.3 For Sauce:In a medium sized sauce pan combine 2 cans Dr. Pepper, Sweet Baby Ray's, and chili sauce. Bring to a boil then lower heat to simmer until reduced to about 1 1/2 cups about 35 to 50 minutes. Add hot pepper sauce and root beer extract.4 When pork is finished remove to a sheet pan with higher edges to prevent dripping and shred pork.
