Wash. Slice the cabbage one direction and then slice the other direction. Wash again and drain. -Cut your sausage widthwise to create small rounds. -Wash your onion and dice it up (optional). Cooking:-Saute' the sausage in a large dry non-stick saute' pan or wok. The sausage will create oil. If you use a lean sausage such as turkey you might need to add a bit of oil to the pan. -Cook the sausage until brown on the edges and then remove from the pan.-Using the same pan add the olive oil and onion and lightly brown till translucent.-Add the cabbage and saute' till slightly translucent. Do not let the cabbage become brown, soggy, or soft. Add some water if needed.
