Here is how you make Fried potatoes and sausage:

Wash potatoes, cut into quarters and cook in microwave on high for 8 minutes. While they are cooking, slice the sausage. Heat sausage in large non-stick skillet while potatoes are cooking. When microwave is done, slice potatoes into 1/2 inch slices. Remove sausage from pan and melt the butter over med high heat. When melted, add the olive oil. Butter & oil should be simmering lightly. Add the potatoes to the pan, toss to coat with the butter/oil mixture, add onion powder & black pepper to taste. Add the sausage back to the pan and let cook for 5 minutes without stirring, to crisp the potatoes. Toss or flip the mixture after 5 minutes and let cook on the other side to finish crisping.
