1. Put ham bone and 10 cups of water in the slowcooker and cook on low overnight.2. Place strainer in a large bowl and pour slowcooker contents in strainer to seperate liquids and solids.3. Place meat and bones in a seperate bowl to cool. Add broth back to slowcooker.4. Add 2c. water, cabbage, celery, carrots, onion, and black pepper to broth.5. Seperate meat from the bones and fat.
