2 heaped tsp Dijon mustard

1 heaped Tbs dried oregano
1 large egg
salt & pepper
olive oil (calculations are for 3 Tbs)
1 small bunch of fresh basil, chopped
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/2 fresh or dried red chile, finely chopped
2 - 14oz cans of diced tomatoes
2 Tbs balsamic vinegar
1 lb dried spaghetti or penne (calculations for whole wheat)
Parmesan cheese for garnish (not incl in calc)

Here is how you make Jamie's Spaghetti and Meatballs:

In a bowl, combine mustard, ground meat, rosemary, oregano and crackers. Crack in the egg with a good pinch of salt and pepper. Scrunch and mix well. Divide into 4 large balls. With wet hands, divide each ball into 6 and roll into little meatballs. Drizzle with olive oil and jiggle till well coated. Reserve on plate in refrigerator until needed.Bring a large pan of salted water to boil. Cook pasta according to instructions.Meanwhile, add oil to large frying pan on medium heat. Add onion and stir till lightly golden. Add in garlic and chile. Cook until they begin to color then add basil leaves. Add in tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. Bring to boil and season to taste.In another large frying pan, add oil and meatballs. Stir and cook for 8-10 minutes until golden. Make sure they're cooked all the way through (no pink).
