1 1/2 T ground ancho chili powder
1 1/2 T ground cumin
1 t ground coriander
1/4 - 1/2 t cayenne pepper, to taste
juice of 1 lime
cooking spray


How Do I Make Aztec-Spiced Steaks?

Here is how you make Aztec-Spiced Steaks:

Let steaks come to room temperature before grilling. Heat a non-stick grill pan over high heat. Combine spices. Give steaks a light spray with cooking spray on both sides, drizzle with lime juice and rub spice mixture into meat. Allow steaks to marinate briefly while heating and preparing the grill pan. Spray grill pan and cook steaks about 3 - 5 minutes a side until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from pan and allow steaks to rest 5 minutes before serving.This can also be cooked under the broiler. Can be served with grilled onions by cutting thick slices of sweet onion and coating with cooking spray. Grill alongside the steaks until tender.
