The ingredients for Hamburger Stew are:

1 lb 80/20 ground beef chuck, browned & strained
1 cup chopped Onions
1 cup diced Celery
1 Cup Beef unsalted cooking stock
1/2 lb red potatoes, flesh & skin, chopped
1 cup chopped Carrots
1 pkg. dry Brown Gravy Mix
2 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1/2 cup red Wine
2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Kitchen Bouquet - Browning Sauce
1/2 tsp Onion powder
1/4 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Pepper, black
2/3 cup Green Peas


How Do I Make Hamburger Stew?

Here is how you make Hamburger Stew:

Drain fat from beef in strainer after browning in Dutch oven. While fat drains, add onions and celery to pan and cook over med. low until tender. Add beef broth and stir to loosen everything stuck to the bottom of the pan. Return beef to pan.Add potatoes & carrots. Mix brown gravy mix with 1 cup of the water and pour over vegetables. Add the rest of the water, the wine, Worcestershire sauce, Kitchen Bouquet, and seasonings. Add the peas last and then stir all together.Bring to a simmer and cook covered for 30 minutes. Remove lid and continue to cook until sauce is desired consistency.Serve as is, or over rice or riced cauliflower.
