Brown beef and drain, place in bottom of casserole dish & sprinkle with onion. LIghrly salt & pepper. Drain peas and reserve liquid. Scatter peas on top of onion. Place a layer of potatoes on top of peas. Next layer carrots over potatoes. LIghtly salt & pepper again.
