2 cloves garlic

1/4 cup brown lentils
1/4 cup red quinoa
1/2 cup pearled barley
1 bay leaf

Here is how you make Lamb Barley Lentil Stew:

Saute the onion in a little oil, add the garlic after the onion just starts to brown. Add the meat and continue to saute until the meat starts to brown. Add celery, carrots, and 2-3 quarts of water. After the liquid is simmering, add the barley, quinoa, lentils, rosemary and 1 bay leaf. Simmer about 45 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings by adding salt and pepper to your liking (I use less than 1 tsp of salt and a few cranks of fresh pepper).
