Here is how you make Shipwreck Stew:

Brown meat in skillet with garlic (add any spices you like, I usually add some Italian blend and season all). While meat is cooking, slice onion and potatoes thin. Place onion in thin layer on bottom of 2 qt casserole dish. On top of onions layer 1/2 potatoes (salt & pepper to taste), 1/2 meat, rice, potatoes (S&P), meat, kidney beans.
