1/2 cup water
1/3 cup uncooked brown rice
1/2 tsp dried oregano and thyme
8 medium cabbage leaves
1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1 15-oz can tomato sauce
1 tsp. sugar

Here is how you make Venison Stuffed Cabbage Rolls:

Brown venison, onions and carros. Add water, diced tomatoes and rice. Bring to boil, cover and simmer until rice is done. Stir in 1/4 c. of the Swiss cheese.While mixture is simmering, boil a large pot of water. Parboil 8 cabbage leaves 2-3 minutes (just enough to soften). When mixture is done, put 1/3 cup on each leaf and roll like an envelope. Put 1/2 tomato sauce (with sugar added) to bottom of pan.
